About the devocionario

The Devocionario Católico gathers the traditional prayers of the Church in an easy format: large print, full texts and an arrangement by time of day and need. The Spanish edition is the main edition; this English section includes each prayer that has an established English text.

The texts are copied as they appear in publications of the Holy See and in Catholic prayer books. They are not summarized or changed. The list of sources is linked at the foot of every page.

The illustrations are paintings by the Old Masters, in the public domain.

The site keeps an anonymous count of the prayers and sections that are opened, with no cookies and no personal data.

If you subscribe to the morning prayer email, your address is kept only to send those messages, which go out through the Resend email service. Every email has an unsubscribe link. To stop abuse of the form, a hash of the IP address and of the email address is kept temporarily. It is deleted automatically once it is more than an hour old, the next time anyone uses the form. It is not stored with the subscription.
